Our Story & Commitment to Wellness
About Optimal Longevity MD
Optimal Longevity MD was born from a simple but powerful realization. While working in addiction medicine and pain management, Dr. Lucy Guevara saw how often care relied on procedures and medications that acted like band-aids. People expected quick fixes, and insurance plans supported that model, but very few people were truly getting well.
She created this practice for patients who want something different. Here, the focus is on comprehensive, functional, integrative, and regenerative medicine that actually takes time to listen. Using bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, regenerative medicine services, and targeted lifestyle support, the goal is to help your body return to optimal functioning, not just survive another year.
Our promise is straightforward: we prioritize your health and your well-being. We help you remove the things that are making you sick, replace what your body is missing, and guide you toward living in harmony with your biology so you can feel better, look better, and live better for the rest of your life.
our process
How Our Process Works
Your journey with Optimal Longevity MD begins with a free Breakthrough Call to see whether our approach is the right fit for you.
If we move forward together, your next step is a paid, 90-minute Vitality Consultation. During this visit, Dr. Guevara reviews your symptoms, medical history, past lab work, and personal goals, then recommends the program or individual service that best matches your needs.
From there, you complete any recommended lab testing and continue with follow-up visits that refine your plan as results come in. Some patients choose a full longevity or hormone program that includes BHRT, peptides, nutritional support, and regenerative options, while others come for a specific need, such as stem cell therapy for a painful joint.
Whether your plan is simple or comprehensive, the process is the same: listen carefully, identify root causes, and build a path you can follow in real life.
Who We Help
We work with men and women who are ready to invest in their health now and into the future. Many are in andropause or pre-, peri-, and post-menopause. They have often seen multiple specialists, been told that their labs are “normal,” or heard that their symptoms are “just part of getting older,” yet still feel tired, foggy, unmotivated, or unlike themselves.
Our patients understand that true longevity care is not driven by insurance. They value the time, precision, and personalization that this model allows. They want enough energy to focus on their passions, show up fully for their families, and feel at home in their own bodies again.
Care is available in the Severna Park and greater Annapolis area, with telehealth visits for patients in several states where Dr. Guevara is licensed, so support can fit into busy, real-world lives.
Our Core Values
At Optimal Longevity MD, our values guide every recommendation and visit.
Regenerate and Restore
We aim to regenerate and restore function wherever possible, rather than simply managing symptoms.
Promote Natural Healing
We work with your body’s innate ability to heal itself, supporting cellular and hormonal balance instead of fighting against it.
Use Novel Therapies
We thoughtfully use advanced therapies such as stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), A2M, peptides, and other regenerative options to support repair and resilience.
Scientific Excellence
We rely on up-to-date, evidence-informed methods and continually refine our approach as science and clinical experience evolve.
Patient ‒ Centered Care
We design care around your story, your goals, and your real-life constraints, always to improve daily quality of life.
Holistic Perspective
We look at the whole person, including lifestyle, environment, mindset, and relationships, because lasting change comes from honoring the complete picture, not isolated numbers on a lab report.
